ANSWERS TO SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: My hair is flat and limp. How can I put a little body and life into it?
A: If you basically like your hair but feel the need for extra lift, there are advanced perming techniques available which enable us to texturize your hair, adding needed body without excess curl or wave.
VOLUMING - THE ULTIMATE PERMING TECHNIQUE
In colouring techniques, expanding is a means whereby we colour your hair its own natural shade, thereby adding body (by swelling the hair slightly) without altering its colour. Highlighting and Botanical colouring also provide exciting options in colouring with the beneficial by-product of increased volume for your hair.

Q: What is the best way to cover my greying hair? I want to keep my natural colour.
A: It depends on the amount of grey. If there are spots or concentrations at the top or sides of the hair, and very little at the back, we can spot-colour them out and colour these areas only. With our formula, there is no subsequent fading. Other alternatives for covering grey are semi-permanent toners which alter your natural colour somewhat, leaving it richer looking and shinier. Reverse streaking can also be done, isolating small strands of hair using an anti-red low dyeing formula with your natural colour. This can reduce grey by about 50%.
Q: Is it safe to have a perm and colour at the same time?
A: The answer is YES but certain complications are involved. The perm always comes first followed by the colour. We prefer to do this in two separate sittings, although we can do them together if you are pressed for time. When you have a perm, it takes twelve to twenty four hours for it to set completely. If we colour the hair immediately following the perm, we are manipulating the hair again, therefore inadvertently relaxing it by about twenty five per cent. If you must have both done together, we can compensate for this by initially making the perm a bit tighter. The porosity of the hair is the same immediately after the perm, as it will be a week later, so waiting in between makes no difference to the condition of your hair.
